Hotel Casona De La Isla - Flores

Short, sweet, and to the point

I enjoyed a refreshing stay with excellent views of the lake. The room was spacious and clean, accommodating my family comfortably. Breakfast was a good spread of local flavors. The staff was notably attentive, our needs were met. The location was very central.

charming, charming, charming

The charming building right on the shore allowed us to jump straight into Lake Peten Itza whenever we seemed like it. We were impressed with the superb view from our room, and the air conditioner worked beautifully, essential for the tropical climate!

Very nice hotel, for a reasonable price. Colorful and a nice ambiance. Great swimming pool to cool off after a hot trip to Tikal. The 'lunchbox' is a nice service, especially when the tour to Tikal starts at 4:30 am.

The tour for Tikal that the hotel offers is a bit expensive (US $75). You're better off with one of the agencies in Flores.

The room as also the whole complex with pool, restaurant and bar was very clean and nicely furnished. The view from the hotel bar is magnificent. The food was delicious. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

I rated the partner hotel Peten because we were rebooked. Nice room, good breakfast

I was annoyed that according to the hotel website our actually booked hotel was more expensive than the replacement hotel and we still paid the price for the more expensive hotel. Also disturbing was that there was construction work on our floor.

Charming building by the lake with attentive service. The breakfast offered great options and having access to the swimming pool enhanced the experience.

Great central location and the pool was awesome. Get a room by the pool. We came back here after two days in Tikal.....make sure you ride a tuck tuck! The rooms are small and there is air conditioning and the wifi works. Breakfast was good....great tortillas! Good stop for sure.

Centrally located on the Island. Clean enough (Guatemalan standards). It was sufficient for a single night before heading to Tikal. Very limited English at reception, this needs to be improved as 90% tourists are English speakers/rely on English. Ok for a night or two. We are a young backpacking couple...

If you're more mature, with high hotel standards, this place is not for you. However, most people will be comfortable enough. Low-mid level quality bathroom.

The apartments across the street not clearly advertised!!! The pool water could definitely use a cleaning!!! More comfortable pool furniture would really enhance the experience!!!

Absolutely average stay-my room had a giant hole in the door, how comforting! Needing to walk across the street for amenities like the pool was just a charming inconvenience. Considering my needs, a complimentary gesture would ve been nice, but I guess special treatment is reserved for others. I almost liked it, but couldn't quite!

Noisy neighbouring bars with throbbing drum '' music' till after iam on two nights not good when you are getting up at 4.30am next day to go to Tikal Wi-fi generally ok but a little fickle.
